just wondering because the rumor was the reason shinya aoki never came to train at ur academy was
because you werent sure if any of your fighters would have to fight him in the future… if thats true i think its pretty safe to say none of them will be fighting aoki any time soon. any way to re-extend the offer? Also looks like Eddie Alvarez can use some submission defense, would be incredible to see him train with the cesar gracie guys too…
just curious
thanks,
peace

Yes, Aoki can train here. Alvarez trains some with Frankie Edgar so he in a sense is training with Renzo's guys. He would be welcome to join the Graciefighter team as we don't have fighters at his weight in Bellator. If he did come over I'm sure that he would improve dramatically, training with Gil and Nathan.

now if i could only speak japenese or knew a way to get in touch with
aoki that would be sweet.. hes openly said he wanted to train at ur academy
after the melendez fight and rocks nick diaz shirts in japan. also told the japanese mma
media he is a big fan of nick diaz. would love for all the gracie fighters to be able to train
and mix it up with aoki. would be sick…
