The Cesar Gracie Sports Center is a center for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training. Cesar Gracie, the main instructor, is known worldwide as a legend in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and MMA instruction. On the mats of the academy, students of all levels learn the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the tutelage of Cesar and his top students. This style has been proven as the most effective in fighting competitions (UFC,etc) as well as on the street and Cesar is widely recognized as one of the world’s best instructor’s. Cesar personally teaches all the MMA classes at the academy and many of the other classes. He is well known for providing personal feedback and instruction to all students, many of whom are top competitors in Jiu-Jitsu and MMA. Jiu-Jitsu , by nature functions as an anti-oxidant. Practicing it relieves stress and anxiety while improving health through a vigourous aerobic and anerobic exercise. A Great improvement in cardiovascular performance and breathing is also noticed,even within a practitioner’s first few months. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art in which its students become flexible even without the practices of stretching exercises. This leads to its practitioners becoming more aware and helps them improve memory and hand-eye coordination. Furthermore, because practitioners spar on a daily basis, Jiu-Jitsu provides them with a great oppurtunity to lose weight, increase muscle mass and gain the ability to defend themselves. As a result, Jiu-Jitsu provides its practitioners with an outlet for aggresion and gives shy people confidence and self-esteem.
Kids Class: Ages 5-14. Boys and girls learn to achieve better concentration, discipline, and coordination. The kids program is designed to teach self-defense and positive interaction with their peers while improving their sense of confidence and how to intelligently overcome threatening situations.
Beginners Class: For those with little or no experience, this is the perfect class. The focus is on basic takedowns, sweeps, positions, and submissions (joint-locks and chokeholds)…
Advanced and Mixed Class: Advanced students learn and refine complex techniques and combinations. Also open to beginners and visiting students from outside academies.
Gi-Less Class: Students are taught techniques without the gi (the traditional uniform used in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu), while emphasizing submissions for a gi-less game.
Open Mat: During Open Mat, students spar freely and exchange technical knowledge.
